Cockle Bay 2nd in annual Charman Trophy Tournament

The Charman Trophy is a one-day annual doubles competition held between Cockle Bay, Howick, Bucklands Beach, Pakuranga and Sunnyhills Tennis Clubs. It is open to children aged 15 and under who do not play Senior Interclub.
This year's team included Jonathan Ramsay, Harrison Veal, Samantha Oliver, Ayesha Horley, Joshua Pereira, Ivica Batnozic, Lauren Meale, Keryn Ballantyne, Dean Lawrence, Eric Pan, Dana & Natasha Griffin, Mitchell Hayes, Jarod Curtain, Courtney Huff, Helena Purcell, Matthew Shearer, Jono Fall, Renee Oliver and Sofia Campbell.
As usual it was a very tough competition, with Cockle Bay coming 2nd overall. Thanks to all the players for their contribution and also the parents for their help and support. It was an excellent afternoon of tennis and we look forward to hosting the Charman Trophy at our new clubrooms in 2012 and hopefully winning it!
