The Veterans Club Champs tournament on Sunday was a success with the weather staying fine for most of the day. This was a knock-out competition with 19 teams entered. There were many strong teams so there was good competition and the winners had to battle through many long hard matches to get to the end and with the tournament finishing under lights. Congratulations to the winners who were:

Winners: Noeline Roberts and Kevin Smith
Runners-up: Denise Clarkson and Russell Marchant

Plate Winners: Judy Haden and Courtney Wilson
Plate Runners-up: Deirdre and Mike Frankle

Special mention to Courtney who has finally managed to achieve the entry criteria for this event, and to Mike and Deirdre for their matching tennis outfits.

Thanks to all who participated and to Tony and others who helped organise the tournament.
