We had our first home game on Friday and club members turned out in force; it was also nice to see members of other local clubs coming to watch Caro Bowl being played at our club. A big thank you to all those that came down, your support is much appreciated.

We were up against it from the start; with the unfortunate withdrawal of our top 3 players. This meant that we had to bring in three players from our Caro Reserve Team; Sean Leonard, Andrew van der Vyver and Stefan Williams. Henry Gers put up a great fight playing at number 1.

Campbell Park came in with their best team yet; they flew in an Australian player with an ITF ranking around 600 to play number 1, also playing were two Argentinean imports and Adam Thompson - recently retired New Zealand Davis Cup player.

Unfortunately we did not pick up any matches but it was a great experience for our players with some closely fought matches.

Up next we come up against Royal Oak on Friday night at Cockle Bay. We will have Andrew Batie and Matt Meradith back for this round, so it's going to be a close contest. Hope you can make it down to support us again.

Big thanks again to all that helped out on Friday. The food was great, the drinks were cold and the atmosphere was terrific.
